New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release Date, Redesign, Dimensions

New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release Date, Redesign, Dimensions   – The Lexus EV Supercar was positioned as the first high-end SUV ever produced when it debuted in 1998. The first Lexus was the first car made outside of Japan when it rolled off the production line in 2003 at Toyota’s Cambridge, Ontario, facility, where it is being made today.  New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release Date

Because it’s a great automobile to drive, it continues to be the company’s best-selling vehicle. For this review, I took a test drive of the 2026 Lexus EV Supercar, which is also offered as the EV Supercar 450h hybrid and is available in three-row extended variants. Before freight and taxes, my tester’s initial MSRP of $56,150 was lowered to $65,000 when a Black Line Edition package was added for $8,850.

New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Redesign and Update Plan

Exterior and Interior

Because of its moderate height and sill width, the EV Supercar has the inherent practicality of a sport-utility vehicle. It is also simple to get in and out of. The Black Line Edition’s all-black and white upholstery color scheme is about the only non-practical feature. Although it’s stunning, any dirt is immediately visible on the white borders of the console and seat.  New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release DateNew 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Interior

Its broad opening makes it easy to carry anything into the cargo space. The overall capacity is 924 L when the chairs are folded flat and 453 L when they are upright. Though there’s not much space for little objects to be stored in the console, it does come with a large console box with a removable liner.

New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Specs

The EV Supercar is equipped with a motorized tailgate, an eight-inch touchscreen including Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, heated and ventilated front seats, dual-zone automatic temperature control, a cargo net and cover, and other high-tech safety features.  New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release DateNew 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release Date

The 12.3-inch center touchscreen, LED exterior lighting, automated air recirculation, auto-leveling headlights, and mobile apps—the majority of which are available for a three-year trial—are among the additional connectivity features added to the Black Line Edition. Other features include embedded navigation with destination assistance, safety and service connections, and mobile apps.

Engine and Performance

A 3.5L V6 engine with 295 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque powers the EV Supercar. For purchasers in the United States, it is available solely with front wheel drive; however, all EV Supercar versions in Canada have all-wheel drive. Under typical circumstances, the system mostly drives the front wheels; but, when more traction is required, it transfers power to the back wheels. If there is snow on the driveway or other sticky conditions, it can potentially get locked in at moderate speeds.    New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release DateNew 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Interior

Those power figures match the bill nicely. Smooth and linear acceleration is available whether accelerating from a standing start or when you need more speed to pass on a highway. Its acceleration won’t blow you away, but it works silently and well, and the gearbox changes are silky-smooth. I like that while many automakers are going to tiny turbocharged engines to move bigger vehicles around, the EV Supercar sticks with a naturally aspirated powerplant. I prefer that for its simplicity, especially if long-term ownership is the goal.

New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Fuel Economy

I used regular-grade petrol and averaged 11.1 L/100 km over my week with it. That puts it roughly in the middle of the segment: marginally higher than a comparably priced BMW X3 or Audi Q5, but lower than those of an Acura MDX, Porsche Macan, or Buick Enclave. The EV Supercar 450h hybrid is priced more than its non-electrified sister, although it is rated at a combined 7.9 L/100 km. New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release Date

New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Safety Features

Automatic high beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, emergency front braking with bicycle and pedestrian recognition, and the backup camera that’s standard on all new cars are just a few of the technologies that come with the EV Supercar. In the unlikely event that you neglect to stop for approaching traffic, the Black Line Edition also has emergency rear brakes. There’s also clearance sonar.    New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release Date

New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Price and Release Date

For its starting price of $56,150, the EV Supercar offers a very high-quality interior and some luxury options, but adding more costs a lot of money. The $8,850 Black Line Edition option for my tester was a significant upgrade, but all of the packages come with large price tags—between $7,900 and $14,050.    New 2026 Lexus EV Supercar Release Date

You must also consider the manner in which such packages allocate their contents. All of them have features like enhanced electronics and superior lighting, but to add features like hands-free tailgate, wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof, or a head-up display, you have to upgrade to the top package, which costs $70,200.
